Mayoral Committee

The Mayoral Committee is chaired by the Executive Mayor and comprises of the Chairpersons of the Portfolio Committees. The Mayoral Committee has the responsibility of monitoring the Management of the Municipality’s administration in accordance with the policy directions of the Council and to oversee the provision of services to communities in the District Municipality in a sustainable manner. Each Member of the Mayoral Committee serves as a Chairperson of a Portfolio Committee which has specific functions.
