ZFM Technical Intergovernmental Forum (IGR)
The ZF Mgcawu District Municipality hosted a highly productive Technical Intergovernmental Forum (IGR), chaired for the first time by our newly appointed Municipal Manager, Mrs. Samantha Tatas-Titus.
The IGR, as established by the Intergovernmental Relations Framework Act (Act 13 of 2005), serves as a critical platform for the three spheres of government to coordinate and align programmes, share information and work together towards common developmental goals. In attendance were representatives from Local Municipalities within the District, various Government Departments, Chapter 9 institutions and other key stakeholders. This broad spectrum of participation underscored the importance of inclusive governance and the value of bringing all role-players to the table.
The meeting featured presentations and detailed reports from stakeholders, offering insight into their current work and initiatives. Discussions focused on identifying and addressing service delivery challenges collaboratively and ensuring that interventions are responsive to community needs. Mrs. Tatas-Titus emphasised that service delivery and improving the lives of our people must remain central to our mandate as government. The forum reaffirmed its commitment to building stronger partnerships, enhancing accountability and delivering tangible results that positively impact the quality of life for residents across the district. The ZF Mgcawu District Municipality remains steadfast in its vision to be a centre of excellence in governance where collaboration is not just a concept, but a driving force behind meaningful change.
