ZFM Speaker’s Outreach Programme

The Speaker of the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Councillor Stanley Peterson embarked on a “Speakers Outreach Programme” as part of his responsibilities as Speaker but in particular in celebration of Mandela Month.  The Speaker started his programme in the !Kheis Municipal Area where he was accompanied by the Speaker of !Kheis, Councillor Koos Esau, the Chief Whip of ZFM, Councillor Joseph Silo and the Secretary of the MRM, Apostle Goeieman.  

All ward Councillors received food parcels and blankets to distribute to families in need in their respective communities.

Councillor Peterson also paid a visit to a myriad of communities in the Mier area which included but not limited to Askam, Mier, Philandersbron, and Loubos. Here he was accompanied by the Speaker of the Dawid Kruiper Local Municipality, Councillor Dodds, Councillor Beukes (Dawid Kruiper LM) and Councillor George of the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality. Likewise, food parcels and blankets were distributed to those in need.

“Nelson Mandela Month is a call to service for those elected in positions of power, leaders must work with their communities to make a difference and in our District, we believe in growing together as one community”, Councillor Peterson emphasized.
