ZFM Hosts Final Special Council Meeting for the 2024/2025 Financial Year and Welcomes Two Newly Inaugurated Councillors
The ZF Mgcawu District Municipality convened its final Special Council Meeting for the 2024/2025 financial year today, marking a significant moment in the District Municipality’s legislative calendar. The meeting was not only an opportunity to close off the year’s business, but also a moment of renewal, as Council officially welcomed two newly inaugurated Councillors into its ranks.
Councillor Karel Boer, representing the African National Congress (ANC), and Councillor Remiro Kgatlane, representing the Democratic Alliance (DA), were formally sworn in during the session. Their inauguration reflects the continuous democratic evolution of the Municipality and reinforces the commitment to ensuring that all communities across the District are represented and heard.
Members of Council extended a warm welcome to Councillors Boer and Kgatlane, wishing them well in their new roles. In their remarks, several councillors emphasised the importance of collaborative leadership and the shared responsibility of advancing the developmental agenda of the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality.
