ZFM COUNCIL APPROVES THE ANNUAL BUDGET 2022/2023 & THE INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) 2022/2023

During a Council meeting, held on the 30th May 2022 and chaired by the Speaker, Councillor Stanley Peterson, the ZF Mgcawu District Municipal Council approved its Annual Budget and the Integrated Development Plan (IDP). The Executive Mayor, Councillor Marius Louw tabled the 2022/2023 Annual Budget in terms of section 16(1)(2) of the Municipal Finance Management Act, 56 of 2003.

In his address to the Council, the Executive Mayor emphasised that even though the Clean Audit of ZFM “symbolizes excellent governance, a top administration and a clean corporate and political administration without corruption, the real challenge is to get all the Local Municipalities in the District aligned with the vision of the Premier of a modern, growing and successful Province that encompasses Municipalities that deliver services to our people and that attain clean audit qualifications”

The Annual Budget and the Integrated Development Plan is an expression of the aspirations of our people. On its own, it cannot achieve the desired outcomes. It requires the discipline and commitment of people who are resolute in making sure that institutional efforts are achieved.
