Vacancy: Two Audit Committee Members-Three Year Contract

ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, situated in the Northern Cape Province and based in Upington, is a dynamic equal opportunity employer. In terms of Section 166 of the Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003(MFMA), ZF Mgcawu District Municipality calls on qualified and interested persons to serve on its Audit Committee for three (3) years, which may be extended for a further period of three years based on performance and discretion of Council. Suitable, qualified and committed individuals are invited to apply.

In anticipation of a large number of applications, correspondence will be limited to the short listed candidates only.  Preference may be given to suitable candidates residing in the Upington area as well as the ZF Mgcawu District Municipal Area. Candidates serving on more than three (3) local government audit committees simultaneously will not be considered. You are further advised that the Council has the right to appoint any candidate if it is in its view that no suitable candidate could be found canvassing for appointment is highly discouraged.
