School Uniform Campaign with Stakeholders 

The Executive Mayor of the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Councillor Maryna Basson, accompanied by a Member of the Mayoral Committee, Cllr Aletta Matshimo, the Acting Municipal Manager Mr Alfred Tieties, ABSA and LMNG WATERS have taken steps to help disadvantaged children at several schools in the ZF Mgcawu District starting with the Vela Langa Primary School by providing them with school clothes. The Executive Mayor reiterated that it became very apparent during the back-to-school campaign that more is needed and the District Municipality must get more stakeholders on board to realize the vision of providing full school uniforms, especially during the winter season.

The ZF Mgcawu District Municipality together with the stakeholders will also be visiting other schools to continue with this spirit of giving back to those in need especially as we continue to observe Mandela Month. The Acting Municipal Manager, Mr Tieties thanked all the stakeholders for their contribution which will go far in making a significant difference in the lives of the learners.
