Public Invited to Comment on Draft Municipal Health Services Revenue Enhancement By-law
The ZF Mgcawu District Municipality invites members of the public, businesses, community organisations and all interested stakeholders to participate in the public consultation process relating to the proposed Draft Municipal Health Services (MHS) Revenue Enhancement By-law.
The proposed By-law seeks to strengthen and regulate Municipal Health Services within the District Municipality to promote a healthier and safer environment for all communities. The Bylaw also aims to support sustainable service delivery through improved regulatory and revenue enhancement mechanisms linked to municipal health functions.
The draft By-law addresses key areas including waste management and sanitation, food control and safety, environmental pollution control, health surveillance of premises and the prevention of communicable diseases. Public participation remains a cornerstone of local government, and community input is essential in ensuring that the proposed By-law responds to the needs, realities and concerns of residents across the district. The District Municipality therefore encourages all interested parties to review the draft document and submit comments, proposals or representations for consideration.
Members of the public are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the contents of the draft By-law and actively participate in shaping policies that contribute towards protecting public health and strengthening municipal health services within the ZF Mgcawu District.
The full advertisement and draft By-law can be accessed on the municipal website and at designated municipal offices, libraries and public facilities across the district.
