Food Safety: Government Interventions

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced several interventions to deal with food safety concerns in the country. All spaza shops and other food handling facilities must be registered in municipalities where they operate within 21 days. A shop that is not registered within 21 days and does not meet all health standards, will be closed.
