Executive Mayor Chairs Combined IGR

The Executive Mayor of ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Councillor Maryna Basson called for a combined Technical and Political Intergovernmental Relations Forum (IGR).

The role of a District Intergovernmental Relations Forum (IGR) is to serve as a consultative forum for the District Municipality, Local Municipalities and Sector Departments in the District to discuss and consult each other on matters of mutual interest.

The IGR has been a useful avenue when it comes to service delivery in Local Municipalities and other Stakeholders and it also serves to keep every Stakeholder abreast of the state of service delivery within the District. The Executive Mayor called for the attendance of Mayors, Municipal Managers and Heads of Government Departments.
