District Service Delivery Program
Section 152 of the Constitution of South Africa clearly defines the objects of Municipalities in South Africa and these are amongst others to provide a democratic and accountable government for local communities; to ensure the provision of services to communities in a sustainable manner and to encourage the involvement of communities and community organisations in the matters of local government.
It is also important that all three spheres of government (National, Provincial and Local) work in an integrated manner to ensure that the above directive is executed and the ZFM District Service Delivery Program is one way of ensuring that Municipalities and Government Departments come together in a coordinated way to narrow the distance between the people and the government.
The District Service Delivery Program took place in different wards in Paballelo and Rosedale and we wish to thank the community members who took part in the services offered to them and we appreciate the feedback that we received in the engagements. We wish to thank all the Government Departments and stakeholders who continue to coordinate the governmentβs response to the challenges our communities face. We are committed to the objectives of the District Development Model ofΒ “πΆππ π«πππππππ, πΆππ π·πππ”
