Back-to-School outreach in Kai !Garib Local Municipality

As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting learners at grassroots level, the Executive Mayor of the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Councillor Maryna Basson, led a Back-to-School outreach in Kai !Garib Local Municipality. The initiative brought together the Mayor of Kai !Garib, Councillor Marshall Matthys, District Chief Whip Councillor Joseph Silo, SGB Chairperson Mr De Wee, and valued partners from ABSA and Living Waters. Through the provision of school uniforms and shoes, the programme seeks to address basic barriers to learning while ensuring that learners begin the academic year with dignity and confidence. When leadership, communities, and strategic partners act collectively, education becomes a shared responsibility, with the best interests of children firmly at the centre.
