A Special day for Friersdale Learners as technology opens new doors

Today was a moment of pride and hope at Friersdale Combined School, as Executive Mayor Cllr Maryna Basson warmly welcomed guests and learners during a special event at which 50 tablets were handed over to the school. The devices, donated through a partnership between the Department of Education and MTN, are more than just gadgets—they represent opportunity, access, and a step towards a better future for the children of Friersdale.

In her address, Cllr Basson spoke from the heart about the importance of supporting young people with the tools they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. She praised the collaboration and emphasised how moments like these remind us all of the power of working together for the good of our communities.
